A reported outcome category covering measured immune parameters and immune-related events: lymphocyte subset counts, antibody titres after vaccination, cytokine concentrations, and documented infection rates. Direction matters more than presence, because some records describe raising a depressed response and others describe damping an overactive one. A number moving is not by itself a benefit.
Why it matters here
Most entries here rest on a laboratory value such as a T-cell count rather than on whether anyone had fewer infections, and the record should say which of those was measured.
What it is not
A changed immune marker is not a reduced illness rate: higher lymphocyte counts, more natural killer cell activity or shifted cytokines are intermediate measures, and the step from them to fewer or shorter infections is assumed far more often than demonstrated. Boosting immunity is also incoherent as a goal, since autoimmune disease is the immune system being more active rather than less.
