Innate Repair Receptor Signaling

A proposed tissue-protective receptor formed by the erythropoietin receptor joined to the beta-common receptor subunit, CD131. The idea is that this combined receptor carries erythropoietin's protective and anti-inflammatory effects on tissue while leaving out its effect on red blood cell production. Compounds designed around it are erythropoietin derivatives built to act here and not at the classical receptor.
