Reported Outcome
Metabolic Health
Last updated
A reported outcome category covering measured metabolic parameters: fasting glucose, HbA1c, insulin and calculated insulin sensitivity, blood lipids, and blood pressure. It is a cluster of separate laboratory values rather than a single quantity, and a compound can move one favourably while moving another the other way. Records here should name the specific value measured.
Why it matters here
HbA1c reflects roughly the preceding three months of blood glucose, so a short study cannot show a change in it, and the study length recorded beside the endpoint is what makes the claim readable.
What it is not
Insulin sensitivity is measured in several ways that do not agree: a euglycaemic clamp, an oral glucose tolerance test and a calculated index such as HOMA-IR are different measurements, and a result from one should never be reported as though it came from another. The alias no expected hyperglycemia is a safety observation, not a metabolic benefit.

Metabolic flexibility describes the ability to switch between burning fat and carbohydrate, usually inferred from respiratory exchange ratio. HRV support refers to heart rate variability, an autonomic measure that sits in this list by association rather than by definition.
