Dosing and scheduling
Stack
Last updated
Taking two or more compounds over the same period, whether at the same moment or on overlapping schedules. Stack is a community term borrowed from bodybuilding, not a pharmacological one, and you will not find it in a trial report. It describes an intention to combine rather than any combination that has been tested.
Why it matters here
Nearly all the evidence on this site describes single compounds studied alone, so a stack sits outside what was actually measured. When several compounds run together and something changes, there is no way to tell which one caused it, and no way to tell whether they affected each other.
What it is not
A stack is not a blend. A stack is a decision you make about what to take and can unmake one compound at a time; a blend is several compounds already mixed into one vial by whoever supplied it, in a ratio you cannot alter.

Stacking comes straight from anabolic steroid vocabulary, where it described running several compounds through one cycle. The peptide community inherited the word along with the habit it names.
