It is the loosest category on this site, because ageing has no agreed endpoint to measure and sources disagree about what counts as a geroprotective effect. Membership records what a compound is studied or marketed for, not what it achieves.
Why it matters here
Almost nothing here can be tested against a human lifespan, so the evidence on these records is mostly cell-culture and rodent work, and the rung shown against a claim is doing more work in this category than anywhere else on the site.
What it is not
Anti-aging in cosmetics means the appearance of skin, while here it means the biology of ageing cells; a wrinkle claim filed under Cosmetic is not a longevity claim. Senolytic is also narrower than the category: it names one specific action, clearing senescent cells, not the whole shelf.
