A reported outcome category covering measured affective state: validated rating scales for anxiety and depression, stress questionnaires, and in animal work behavioural tests such as time spent in the open arms of an elevated maze. It covers movement in either direction. Anxiety measured in a rodent behaviour test and anxiety diagnosed in a person are distinct constructs that happen to share a name.
Why it matters here
Mood endpoints carry among the largest placebo responses in medicine, so uncontrolled reports weigh very little here and the gap between a controlled and an uncontrolled rung is unusually consequential.
What it is not
This is not a treatment category: anxiety and depression are clinical conditions with established care, and nothing recorded here is a substitute for it. Anxiolytic in a rodent study means an effect in that test, not a treatment effect in a person.

Anxiolysis is the clinical term for reduction of anxiety and appears in the literature mostly as a drug-class description. Calm focus and stress resilience are consumer phrasings with no single corresponding instrument.
